iReal 3M Color 3D Scanner

The iReal M Series Color 3D Scanner (M stands for Master) is SCANTECH (HANGZHOU) CO., LTD.’s latest professional 3D scanner series. Its infrared laser and structured-light modes provide seamless 3D data gathering in a variety of applications, including scanning humans and objects indoors and outdoors. iReal M delivers professional and cost-effective 3D digitization solutions to 3D engineers, designers, and scientific researchers to achieve their requirements for industrial design, art design, medical design, human body digitalization, and more.

High accuracy, resolution and efficiency

iReal M3 offers a basic accuracy of up to 0.1 mm and a volumetric accuracy of 0.25 mm/m. It can meet the requirements for gathering 3D data in quasi-industrial scenes for a variety of scenarios. With a resolution of up to 0.1 mm, it can reconstruct high-resolution geometric structures and capture precise edge features, making it suitable for scanning tasks involving objects larger than 5 cm. It has a scanning rate of up to 60 fps, which significantly enhances scanning efficiency and allows engineers to rapidly obtain high-quality 3D data.

Safe dual-light source

Thanks to its dual infrared lasers, the iReal M3 can meet the demand for 3D data capture of varied sizes and materials in a variety of situations. Its infrared VCSEL and infrared parallel laser, both of which comply with safety standards, are safe for human eyes. These two light sources are invisible and can provide a more friendly and comfortable scanning experience. It uses two types of fill lights that can be individually controlled. The invisible infrared fill light improves marker recognition and adaptation to black materials, and the LED fill light improves color alignment brightness.

Dark and light color adaptability

Infrared light sources (invisible light) are absorbed less than colored lasers when projected onto different colored surfaces. Therefore, the New iReal M3, paired with infrared lighting, is better suited to 3D scanning items with vibrant colors. It can 3D scan industrial parts, automotive exteriors, and interiors with black and reflective surfaces because to its excellent material adaptability.

Scanner technical features:

  • Large scanning area – A large, 580 mm x 550 mm wide-angle field of view (FoV) allows to scan medium- to large-sized objects quickly and accurately.
  • Deep depth of field – iReal 3M color 3D scanner offers a scanning depth of field of 720mm, allowing for more freedom in operation and lowers user requirements.
  • Without markers – Scan objects directly, without the use of markers, when they are full of continuous, non-repetitive, and widely diverse geometric/textural elements.
  • Hybrid alignment Modes– We can employ the hybrid alignment mode (marker and feature align-ments) when objects have insufficient geometric or textural features. Simply attach several markers on featureless parts to align scans seamlessly.
  • Constantly updated algorithm – According on user feedback, the 3D reconstruction and alignment algorithms in the iReal 3D scanning software will be updated frequently, improving user friendliness for alignment processes.
